Awaken Your Day - June 30, 2017 - Help it burn.

"You get the best effort from others not by lighting a fire beneath them but by building a fire within them."
- Bob Nelson, best selling author and motivational speaker

"What do I have to do to light a fire under your ass?!" - said a few different people to me when I was younger. Oh, if only I knew then, what I continue to learn now. More so, if only THEY knew then ... what I know now - about people, life and me.

I think of work, and past coworkers. Old jobs, old friends.
School. Family. Ah ha moments and passions coming into view. Moments feeling lost and no sunshine in sight.

All around us we can recall and touch memories that relate to a fire within ... or a lack of.

So let us focus, try to embrace the obvious. What lights our fire? What ignites our passions? How do we stoke that fire, catch a flame? What drives you on to be your best? At work, at play, and in your pursuit of a happy You.

We can build our own fire within - and watch those flames light up all the reasons we want to keep it that fire burning bright.

Good morning, Greater Day. Greater You - feeling the burn.

Awaken Your Day - June 29, 2017 - Ya, I got nothing, but I know where to find more.

Up at 330 am. Cardio room by 340. Just 20 min hard power walk at an incline. That was the plan. Not much to speak of but it is what I needed, and I was doing it. Maintaining an effort at consistency and not disrespecting what I have started.

Back to the room, cleaned up, then breakfast then time for me ... time to write, time to plan, to review my goals, assess the day. Working on maximizing my time for that in turn opens my eyes to where I can be more efficient with MY time. I don't have a lot of MY time when I am working my day job ... or that is what I thought. I got nothing.

Isn't that what we tell ourselves? I have no time. I can't find the time. I wish I had time. Bit of an excuse. A whole lot of excuse.

We have time. As soon as you put more thought into what is ultimately important to you - you will find time. Remove something that takes up your time, or be more strategic in how you use and block out your time. You can find it. I have started, and now I'm getting much more out of that time. And there are so many compound benefits that will just land in your lap.

Ya, I had nothing, then I looked a little harder and I found a lot more.

Good morning, Greater Day. Greater You - taking some time back, for you.
