AYD - Feb 8, 2013 - Only the Strong ...

Today is a new day.  We focus on that here.  We share it, we try to establish it as an automatic feeling to be greeted and invited to share our table, and we attempt to adopt is as a self leading philosophy for our betterment, and those who witness it within us.  Yesterday is gone, today is a new product, and we owe it to the dawn to bring it forward for our partnered investment.

Today I thank a friend for some kind and encouraging words yesterday, when disillusion was asking me out for a date.

There are times when your patience, your good self, and your "I know better" will run thin.  There are times when others may slowly draw out of you, the Darkside that we pride ourselves in defeating as we reach for personal success.  Your reactions might be testy.  You may struggle with some guilt over debating thoughts and anger.  Overall, it may feel like the clouds are rolling in, and for as far as you can see, there is a storm brewing.

You are drained on the quality of you.

I could smell it in the air.  The hallways at work felt constricted.  The "good mornings" felt rehearsed and robotic.   Success was measured on how long I could avoid the difficult people that just don't get it.

I fear I may have started becoming one of those people for others.

And then, I was thankful.  Thankful for a few common sense words, a few more of strong encouragement, all wrapped up in a non-profit gesture of, "Hey, here is a thought....".

Only the Strong...are willing to take a breath when they feel the weakest.  Willing to accept the helping hand in whatever form it is offered.

Yesterday I was focussed on the storm and all the uncomfortable feelings that come with cold winds.
This morning, the air is still.  And I hear a voice...."Here is a thought...."

Give thanks to good friends for knowing what you need to hear.
Give your attention to this new day.

I wish for you, great opportunity today and this weekend.

Good morning.

AYD - Feb 7, 2013 - Once in a while...

"Once in a while you have to take a break and visit yourself."
- Audrey Giorgi

And once in a while, things do not need to be over explained.

Make the time. Put the busy world on hold.  Enjoy visiting hours.

Good morning.

AYD - Feb 6, 2013 - When In Doubt

When in Doubt....Pick "Positive".

When the going gets tough .... Get "Positive".

When faced with things you cannot control .... Focus on what you can - the "Positive".

Basically - stuff happens.  And when it does, we never feel prepared.  We must, must, must, train ourselves to pause in the face of adversity, and take a moment to maintain our wits - take inventory and not panic.

It is so very easy to say and recommend that we stay Positive, and Hard to do when we encounter the moment.  It is hard to do it, because many of us really only put attention to positive when we are in a special moment when that focus makes us feel better .... for the moment.

Having a Positive outlook overall, helps us tackle Doubtful moments with a more Automatic response.  It is then that we fully see the contrast between us, and what most people respond with.  When you are more positive then you simply adapt to adversity and challenge it with a more level head, and in so doing, do not feel the Stress Chain of Thoughts and Events.

When a doubtful moment comes, of any nature, remember to pause, breathe, assess it for what it is, list out what you know, identify what you do not know and then avoid speculation on what you do not know.  Maintain a clear line of vision on the facts.  You will see your assets ( what you know ) and have a much better control on your liabilities ( what you do not know, your worry, the What If factors, the "oh what will I do?" factor .... etc ).

It is hard to put into simple words to make it all make sense.

Basically - When in doubt, invest in a positive thought.  The compound interest will surprise you.

Good Morning.

AYD - Feb 4, 2013 - Fuel for Action

"Enthusiasm is the steam that drives the engine."
- Napoleon Hill

You can begin your week dreading all the work in front of you.  Remembering the "incompletes" from last week.  Longing for the weekend before you have even begun.

Or you can refocus your energy on the "completing" of those things still to do.  The momentum you have to drive to the finish of open tasks or projects.  Consider yourself recharged and ready to get to it.  Look forward to success.

Often, feeling overwhelmed, is only the result of us not putting our stack in a better order to see a workable structure and approach to getting things done.

Enthusiasm is contagious.  Let it begin with you and all you have to do.  One project, will convince another, and another, until your whole list is starting to run your RPM guage up.

And as a bonus, watch your teammates when they are around you.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Start your engines.

Good Morning
