Awaken Your Day - January 30, 2008

Inspiration can find you anywhere.

Reality TV. How is that for a double contradiction. Inspiration can find you anywhere…and then we mention Reality TV. Does not seem like a quality pair.

Last night I had just come home from the beginning of week 3 in my Fitness class. I was riding a bit of a high because I made it through the set out routine feeling much better than last week, and the trainer noted that my running ability is improving. Tell that to my feet.

So I get home and Sandra has on this new reality show called, The Biggest Loser. A bunch of people who are overweight try to lose the most weight for personal satisfaction and some prize money. Now for some reason I am okay with this show. The only thing I don’t like is how someone has to be voted off each week and then they put in the plot twists and tricks like all those shows do. But mostly, I am able to ignore the game show part of it, because I found myself cheering these people on. All of them. I don’t want anyone to go. I am watching these people bust their butt to get to a goal. And they are true to this goal, as they are in their Power.

There is really not a lot of focus on the money at the end, and so you don’t get distracted by that. I find myself honestly, and genuinely proud of these people. It shows you how hard they are working for this. They tell you what it means to them. I cannot say that I have heard any of them mention the financial prize – they all talk about their quality of life, what it would mean to be under this set amount of weight. And I find myself believing how much it means to them, by the look in their eyes, their tears of joy at a good weeks results, the determination when they are being pushed by the trainer, which in turn drives them on to push themselves.

I find myself cheering their successes. Of any kind or size. They finish a challenge. AWESOME! They lose double digits – INCREDIBLE ! They don’t do as well as they expected, they support each other. They even find it in them to support when they are on opposing teams.

They may be competing, but they have a common goal, and they all share in that understanding.
The class I am in shows me that too. Three weeks ago, strangers. Last night, laughing, joking, and cheering each other on. The itinerary looks hard, and we encourage each other. Support.

I am so very lucky that I found incredible support with the company I am proud to be a part of. The teachers and coaches are all in for a common goal – Helping people become the best they can be. I am really enjoying my surroundings and the assorted support teams I have. My wife, my Business partner, my friends and family, and my Prosperity Development Community. I have been able to see what I have around me, and know that I am not alone as I strive for my goals.

Take a look around you. Who needs your support? Who do you know, that would maybe see a leap in their achievement if they just had the knowledge, that you were there to encourage them. And who do you draw your support from? What do they do for you – that you can recognize as making a difference – and then follow that example for someone else?

I challenge you today, to support someone in any sincere way, on the Path they are on. Your will be rewarded.

Make it a good morning, because you can.
