AYD - March 7, 2014 - In Reflection Lies Great Treasure

"You can't turn back the clock.  But you can wind it up again."
- Bonnie Prudden

When is the last time you looked thru an old photo album?

This simple act will take you through a gauntlet of feelings and reactions.  From the standard, "OMG" thoughts at your youthful looks, to some awful hair, and 'wonder what they are doing now' -  you will then feel many different things as well.

Feelings for people, remembering emotional events, laughing and rekindling of feelings for moments you had not touched for a long time.

Life does that.  We move forward.  We stack new memories on top of those, and once in awhile we catch a glimpse of a corner and pull it out for review from under the pile.

I often reflect.   Sometimes, it settles me with some "Value Remembered" of moments, places, times and people.  Those moments give me more perspective and acceptance for when I recall some of the not so good - and the Values makes those dark ones not linger long at all.

I took but a moment this morning, and I looked at a few photos of a few friends from way back when.
And this brought me one of those movie like moments when our Protagonist gets their memory back and the scenes come rushing by and we see all the wonderful life shaping moments in their life and we feel the good feel ....  Ya, I took but a moment this morning, and I have to share with you - I have had alot of wonderful people come into my life, and it feels really good to gaze upon the treasures that a moment of reflection offers to me.

I took but a moment this morning, and I thank you for the richness this life has become.

Good morning, creates a greater day.
A greater you - well, you will be remembered in moments ongoing...far far away.
