I read some sappy feel good stuff.. nah, I don't want that today....
I read some "get rid of the weights before you can fly" stuff... nope, not what I want today.
I read some jolly "perfect world" stuff ... but I didn't want that as I just didn't have the substance to make a picture out of it.
And I chose to avoid the news because, let's be honest ... all those people just make me a walking contradiction to what I want to share here.
Some mornings are like this. I cannot find what I want in that moment to share, to inspire ... what I want to share is not clear. I know what I am not feeling...and what I don't want but ....
And maybe that is what I am looking for. Sometimes it is just as good to walk out the door knowing what we do not want in our day as much as it is to find some triggering words of encouraging action.
I know what I do not want my Monday to turn into. I know that I do not want Monday to be the seed of a negative tree that will grow all week. So ... what is my focus going to be to totally bypass watering that tree? What would my plan look like if I wanted to NOT feel anxious, stressed, pressure, incomplete, cluttered? Have I considered that point of view ?
And there you have it... I can see how I do not want to feel... what do I need to plan for to avoid THAT. And quite often, the thoughts that run through your mind now start to align like a solid agenda and you find you have ... a positive plan - without the effort.
