AYD - March 12, 2013 - If You Build It...

"You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want."
- Zig Ziglar

Pay it forward week continues.

You can have your own structure of success.  It might be represented by a hammock on a beach, and to some it may be a spot in a tall corporate building.  A home to call your own, or a career doing something you love.  Whatever the structural design is, you can achieve it - this we have always agreed with.

What alot of us may not realize is that we have many building blocks that we have overlooked, and keeping with this weeks theme, building blocks you could be sharing.

We use alot of quotes here at AYD to get a point across.  Usually some words from someone who has achieved a level of recognition.  The idea is that successful people have some quality advice.  They are paying it forward.  And somewhere in their life, they too adopted some quality advice from people in their story.

And that my friends, is the Hidden Treasure Hunt we go on today.

Go back in your memory bank and spend a moment with some people that made a difference in your life.  A teacher that stood out among the rest, a coach, Grandma, or even a good insightful friend.  Remind yourself of one solid thing these people taught you.  Some words of experience that helped you take a step up.  A building block that may have become hidden by other life steps.

When you remember, and you will remember, lay that block on the table along with the puzzle that is your life.  Where else will it fit?  Where else will this little block act as a missing piece to the puzzle of someone you know?  You see, it is not just about repeating the words because the words once supported you - it is about placing the words as the support they are, into the right spot so that their strength can once again support the pressures of dreams taking shape.

If you help one person today with knowledge that once helped you ... the ripple effect could be amazing.

Great morning, great day.  Great you, and a better day for everyone else.

What child has not enjoyed playing with a building toy - blocks and Legos? What child has not spent hours building and tearing down, only to build and tear down again? We have much to learn from the perserverance of a child about the tenacity and experimentation of building and tearing down. Loved this post, Pierre.
