AYD - Jan 14, 2014 - You are Important

"The most important work you and I will ever do will be within the walls of our own homes."
- Harold B. Lee

The beginning of a week always brings about the extra distractions.  Looking at the week as a whole, all the activities mount up, take their positions, start making noise.  Each catagory takes shape and each task falls in line beneath the heading, and then the sub headings start to light up, another bullet point and some bullet points to bullet points.

These lists have work, and they have home... the car, the kids, and the dog.  The list on the fridge is new, yet the same, and the meeting at work is regular and on time, but it comes with it's own list of needs as well.

We have alot to do.

So stop.

Take a moment to hug one another a little more close as we say - "Have a good day."
When discussing the plans for helping with homework after work and school, pause, and consider how important that will be and how that moment is just as important as your 10 a.m. - for you and for them.

Consider your title at home - and whom that is really important to.  Consider the "little" things you do that we always do ... but consider how valuable they really are.  This work is not trivial, it is vital.

Plans for the evening, that's easy - My wife is in training - so her meal will be prepped.  Distractions, I got those.  My son has soccer so a quick but good supper is in order.  After soccer I get to hear how good her work out was, while my son and I do "just one more section, please dad" on building the Lego city.  His snack for school will already be done, her lunch dishes washed so she can rest.  And when I sit down to do my tasks, I can do so with Peace of Mind.  My important work is done.  The day before us is ready and I have removed some of the "branches" from the path they need to follow.
Now I can apply myself much better.

I think I have a meeting today.  Good thing I have no distractions.  Glad I did not forget anything important.

Good Morning, Great Day.
Greater You, is a free gift to the environment of others.
