AYD - Oct 1, 2012 - One Mighty Step, and then Another

"Perseverance is not a long race; it is many short races one after another."
- Walter Elliot

Keeping the goal in sight.
One more step is one more victory.
There is someplace you need to be.
There is some objective you must reach.
A race to better your own time.
A conversation to better a relationship.
A breath to regain composure before tackling the situation again.

A hard day at the office.
A toddler that is in the middle of the defiant stage of growth.
A set back in finances.
A, "What else can go wrong?!" kind of day.

When the going gets tough....
The tough focus on the next step that must be taken.
The tough remember that there is something greater to look forward to than this one moment of difficulty.

There are peaks and valleys to every "race" we sign up for.

Gain momentum while we enjoy the peak, and reflect on it and the wonderful view from that height, while you race thru the valleys that test our spirit, and our focus on what really matters.

It is a Monday, and for the faithful, you will remember that we call this, Opportunity Monday.

Lead your races, all of them.  Lead by choice over peaks and thru the valleys.
Do this for you.  But enjoy watching the sign on sheet as others follow your lead.

Opportunity Monday.
Lead the way please.
