AYD - March 27, 2103 - Keep it Simple

Maybe this should be keep it simple week.

Plain and simple, if some Negative distraction invites you to give it a hug,  don't be so quick to say yes and lunge forward with open arms.  Step back and find out what the moment is really showing you.

If you need a better example ... kids.  A simple consequence for misbehaving is one minute of quiet time.  How do you feel when you are in a heated moment and you are just about to discipline a child?  If you stay in that thought and feeling pattern you have seen how you become more readily annoyed soon after.  As you think....

So, when you need it, give yourself a one minute quiet time.  If you do it with your child, you will see you also needed the one minute to gather your emotions and move forward with a lighter step.

If you do it at work, close your door or step off to yourself for a one minute quiet time.  Gather yourself, so that you do not lose more time just simply stuck in a rut or making things unnecessarily worse.

And of course...if you are thinking good thoughts... run with it.  As you think, so shall you become and everyone around you will carry your good mood like sparkles from a greeting card.  Hey, there is an idea for a fun Wednesday.  Go to the card shop... handle sparkly ones...and dont tell anyone.  Then just simple contact all day long will spread the silly.  Only you will know.

Gotta go .... think our office needs some sparkling.
