"Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else."
- Judy Garland
As we grow and mature,or in some cases I guess - immature, we show signs of things we have picked up along our journey. Personality traits, habits, attitudes. We get these after market add ons from a wide variety of influences. People in our lives that left and impression. Lessons learned from hard or very joyful experiences.
Let us be careful, that in trying to find our identity, our shape, or footprint among many, that we do not totally become a walking product of only external influences. A pop star's choice of clothes, a popular television program showing us what is funny, or the trends telling us what is cool to listen to for music.
Part of what makes all these things fresh, is putting your own mark on it all. You see something that is popular, like a new sport...and then you see how it evolves so that the sport is still there, but people are thinking outside that box and presenting a twist...a new idea and always their intention is grow...to expand.
Be the thinker, and apply a little First-Rate You to things you like. Try not to simply mimic the path you see before you.
Have a great day, being in touch with what makes you different from the Billions of Hamburgers Sold.
Good morning, great day. Great you, a better day for everyone else.

AYD - April 10, 2013 - Lessons Learned
In the workplace, they are often referred to as lessons learned. They are studied before the next project, while in the planning stages, in order to form a plan of action for those events we have come across so that we act on the knowledge rather than react in consequence.
In our day to day ... we might refer to them as Life Lessons. Often shared as knowledge after an event, or once we find ourselves in the middle of despair or a complicated situation. Often called upon as a reaction, to give us a guideline on how to respond and get out of a situation. At need, versus Pre Need.
How can we show the value of advance awareness to each other as a planning tool so that we are better prepared for encounters we have in life?
"Victory Loves Preparation"
We can start by reflecting...and reviewing lessons learned. We can begin with one, and enjoy the path our thoughts take us after that.
Think of a lesson in your life that is worth reviewing...and certainly for sharing. If you have trouble finding the end to this wonderful ball of yarn that is all the memories of your life, begin by thinking about something you have or would tell a child. What lectures have we joked about receiving from our elders, our mentors or those be appreciate? Consider the lesson, the benefit, and the consequences of not giving it attention.
Find a life lesson in your life. Apply the value of it to the here and now. And then look for an opportunity, to share it.
Enrich a life, by sharing the value of yours.
Good Morning, Great day. Great you, a better day for everyone else.

AYD - April 8, 2013 - Dear Failure...
"Dear Failure,
What if I told you the sacrifices I make to compete are victory in itself? What if I did not measure my success by wins and losses, but by my will, my triumph over slumber, my focus to prepare, and my courage to contend?
What if I told you I win every morning my eyes open?
Failure, you will not triumph over me because
I'm Possible."
- Marketing ad by badboy.com, I'MPOSSIBLE
Opportunity Monday.
Inspiration can find you anywhere, as long as you are open to it.
Today, in an MMA magazine. Yesterday in a vision of a mother and child laughing together. The week before in a simple newspaper article in a section I normally do not read.
Write a short letter.
Write it to your boss, your friend, yourself or even to a fear and state of mind... like Failure.
Say what you want to say. Say what you feel when words escape you at times you "shoulda, woulda, coulda".
Get the point across, even if just for you to stop the point from draining your energy.
Get it out - release the weight. Keep the letter, or destroy it - up to you; but mark your statement.
Grab your words, post your flag, and Proudly proclaim, " I hereby claim this day!"
Dear Failure... thanks for coming out...sorry you didn't make the team.
