I am committing to my days, all that I can give - and the clarity that I attain from that will help me embrace all that my day commits to me.
We hope to share here with you some little gesture to start you off in the right direction each day. A quote, a thought, an observation… it is our desire to give you a variety of influence to ignite all of your senses as you greet the mornings and embrace everything that is before you each and every day.
I was asked once why people should relate to me. What do I have that my readers can relate to. I thought about it, and I realized I am one of my readers. The things we share at AYD and the business opportunities we offer are part of self realization and if I can make that path for someone else, a little easier to follow or discover, then that is what I want to do. People that come to AYD will find that I am no different than they are. Just trying to enhance my life in all aspects so that I, and we, can focus on truly living fulfilled and experiencing all we should be, without the clutter we so easily put in front of our dreams, desires and ability to see all the wonder that is waiting to be experienced.
My name is Pierre Couturier, and I want to live life to the fullest appreciation.

I challenge you to a duel...or should I say I invite you to participate in a duel. Between the "Have" and "Have Not". Between the "I Want...I Wish... I Need" and the "I Have...I Did.... I Achieved".
Every time you see something today that you want, or you think of something you need ( training, material thing, feeling ) I want you to list - yes...actually write down - something that you have already achieved .
For example - I wish I could have a new car. And... I bought and have paid off my old car.
Our mission today...is simply to recognize the skills we have already displayed to get to where we are and to have attained steps and things that we wanted in our lives. Once we recognize that we already have the skills to achieve, we can begin to push ourselves to reach for the next level of our goals.
In recognizing our achievements we stand a better chance of harvesting further belief in ourselves and our abilities to grow further.
Good morning, Greater Day. Greater You - winning a battle of perspective. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
"There is only one you...Don't you dare change just because you are outnumbered." - Charles Swindoll
Five things. Five unique things about you ... that you honestly like about you.
Five things. Five other unique things, that you are proud of about yourself.
Five minutes. Five minutes to acknowledge you.
Sometimes, it is a well deserved moment that we take, to just sit back, breathe a relaxed breath...and take stock of some of our achievements, and our attributes. A moment we overlook all too often.
There is only one you. Get reacquainted.
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - Knowing You. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day
" The way we see the problem is the problem. " - Steven Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
It is always beneficial, to take a moment away from a stressful environment, and breathe.
Pause for perspective. Imagine time has stopped and all you can see is frozen still. Now walk around the situation. Take your time. Examine the snapshot while you have "stepped" away. Allow thought to flow without the strain of rebutal or need to be explained. Look to understand.
Is our view complete? Do we see all the details from our position? Are we responding from a point of vantage, or from an inner podium of emotional charge? Are you still comfortable from your angle?
It is not always about right and wrong. Finding solution is very gratifying.
Are you willing to be part of the solution...to what may not be a problem at all.
Just be aware of the value in a personal "time out".

Those things you miss don't need to be a wish. Think about it.

When your day already has a rope around your neck and you haven’t stepped into a thought of your own yet while you struggle to find your inspiration boost - pause for gratitude identification.
All the reason you need, all the passion that keeps you going is just one... thankful.... thought away.
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - remembering why there is a Greater You. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy, And Thankfully still the Author of my Day
"Either you run the day or the day runs you." - Jim Rohn
We can often receive motivational messages with no real effect. We get it, it makes sense, we feel good about having a headline to the story about to unfold and then... life and distractions go on the attack. It comes down to stopping for a moment to not only let the message become clear, but for us to apply it to our own feelings and details so that the message bonds with what it can mean to our circumstances.
It would be great if we could just receive some great advice and then go hopping along to greet the day and have it there like an auto response - but life doesn't always work that efficiently.
So take a moment, with this and other good advice you encounter from the so many sources we have, and actually consider how it applies to you and the day before you. Take the moment to absorb and shape.
A moment to invest in yourself will allow you to better see the gold wrapped in some words.
Good morning, greater day. Greater you is in control of more. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
"Either you run the day or the day runs you." - Jim R
“Ninety-nine percent of the things you worry about never happen. Dream more, worry less and enjoy every day. It goes fast.” - John Addison
This reminds me of some other AYD moments and topics we have touched on. And like those I feel we need to take this one step further. I feel there is value in revisiting your own proof to help you not only read the good advice in Mr. Addison’s words, but to RELATE to them.
You have your own living evidence that will collaborate what he says.
So, let the life you have lived light the path again. Consider a couple times you were dominated by worry but all turned out well. It starts off that simply. ( Step two is Why did it turn out well ? ... like because you planned and executed a good plan. And repeat that. )
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - approaching with lessons learned versus worry burns. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day
Do one thing today. Be kind. Seize a moment before it gets away from you - and be kind.... Do it for you. Do it for them. Do it without needing recognition.
That's it.
Good morning, Greater day. Greater You - because you can be. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
I am dissatisfied with my lack of action in some areas required to advance toward my dreams. I have not been “waiting”, but I have also not been working hard enough at my “creating”.
Step 2 - Change that. Right now. And continue until dissatisfied feeling is gone.
This is the flag I carry today. In all things I want to accomplish. If we execute well in all we have to do, it will be the norm for all we want to do.
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - recognizing when you have not been being the greater You. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
Awaken Your Day - Feb 17, 2016 "Successful people are simply those with successful habits." - Brian Tracy
Bad habits. We have them. We all do. I do. What do we do about them, other than admit them? For many, admitting it is the only step. They acknowledge a bad habit, and then that acts as a free pass to continue excuses on the same path without a plan to remove the habit.
So, with that, can we try to acknowledge a plan on a good habit in a reverse and succeed role? Successful habits can be any size, any shape, any measure of growth. For example - you want to read more on a topic of growth... so make it a habit to spend 15 min a day on that topic. After 14 days, you will find you have a hunger for more and it only cost you .... 15 min a day of focus on this new habit.
So - today you have an opportunity to do two things. When you acknowledge one of your personal "bad" habits, decide to be in awareness of it each day to attempt to overcome it by being in tune with it versus just sloughing it off as "it is what it is". And second, identify something you want to become a replacement habit on the good side of your ledger. Now make it a two week goal to apply some attention to it daily.
Successful habit for me will be focus on Action on my decluttering project in my home. Bad habit to be aware of is Procrastination. The one replaces the other. What will your plan be? Share if you like, to inspire others.
Good Morning, Greater you. Greater you becomes an idea center for others. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
"There are more pleasant things to do than beat up people. " - Muhammad Ali
Straight up simple. Should you find yourself greeting an ill feeling toward someone, something or some event today - or you are in the middle of such a moment right now - pause for a self bettering effect.
Ask yourself, "What would I rather be thinking about than watering these negative emotions?"
Pause to identify your state - Who What Where When Why or How - you got here. And ... is it doing me any good to stay here?
Where is the nearest exit from the path I am on? Because there are more pleasant things to do than beating down my energy.
Good morning, Greater Day. Greater you - choosing to find, the greater in you. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
Sometimes we find moments where there are no distractions. As far as the eye can see.
In these moments we actually see much more, hear much more and our thoughts have this magic ability to produce much more.
Moments like this produce the simplicity we often need to win over the complicated. This morning my only puzzle piece in my life is which wave is going to reach my feet. ( the only angry I feel is why I haven’t made more conscious effort to be here more often)
We know what they hold - these moments that foster Reaching Thoughts. We know their value. Now we just need to dedicate time to staying in those like minded moments and running the program ... again and again.
Gotta run. My wave is coming and I don’t want to miss it. Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - with Reaching Thoughts and the setting to recognize them. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my DaySee More — at Dreams Dominicus La Romana.
Say that to yourself and feel how powerful it is. Believe it - and feel the rush. Now Go - and do what you were meant to do. Good afternoon, Greater Day and week. Greater You - Deciding to be a Greater You. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy, and Author to my Day. “Tell ‘em I’m coming !”
Inspiration can find you anywhere .... or you can go looking for it.
Like in an old photo album...well that just kind of ages me... doesn't it? Idea is, go through some old photos, or some old contact lists of all those people you know. Your thoughts will lead the way on the path of memories that will just automatically play out before you.
It's our son's birthday today and my wife was looking back on pictures of his first - and the travels through the pages of memories was a fun trip to experience again. Makes the smiles of this special day a little brighter.
Sometimes a little reflection can light up a day.
Good morning, greater day. Greater you, came from many pictures captured in time. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day.
Awaken Your Day - Feb 11, 2017 "Miracles: You do not have to look for them. They are there, 24-7, beaming like radio waves all around you. Put up the antenna..., turn up the volume - snap... crackle... this just in, every person you talk to is a chance to change the world..." - Hugh Elliott
It cannot be just a momentary "oh what a nice thought" take away. It has to be something we train ourselves to believe. Every meeting a success is what Mike Lipkin says and .... it can be.
I used to often wonder how different our lives would be if one event in the past had been different... or had we met someone earlier in life ... like the concept so often in movies where you go back in time but be careful because changing one event changes the course of the future.
And that is the problem. Everytime we think of this we are contemplating on events in the past and imagining how it would be thus different now. "Oh what a nice thought"... But that is make believe. Now turn that around... think about the here and now.
Now is not "make believe" , rather if we think about our actions in this very moment...the right now, the here and now... and how our actions NOW can change the path of the future.... see...same game, just more realistic focus.... we go from make believe to Make It Happen.
And then right before our eyes... miracles take shape. Every person we meet, every dream we have, every goal we aspire to ... all of it gains progressive benefit and eye opening miracles if we apply the same energy to what can be versus what might have been.
Make It Happen. It is an action, not an "Oh how nice that would have been." Make it Happen.
Good morning, Greater Day. Greater you - here and now and more possible - then and more so now. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day
I believe there is one thing we overlook every day. We have but one life - and no matter what our Life Setting dial is set at right now - we need to try to remember to live some of each day or all of every day, to the fullest. Do something today to enhance your life experience. Please.
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - creating. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day
“Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” - Les Brown
First time I ever read this, I shook my head over how simple the statement was, how incredibly true it was, how obvious it was and how the hell had I not seen it so easily before.
I’ve told you about an old teacher of mine that gave you a 75% mark if you did exactly as told and the other 25% came from thinking for yourself and adding more. I began thinking more about what was beyond those 75% stars.
I’ve had a manager recently that always gave unrealistic deadlines for tasks and then on Thursday when we would advise It wasn’t quite finished but it would only take a little more , he’d say great, he needed it for EOD Monday - and the last bit shouldn’t be an issue with such great progress.
And we would finish the last 5%,or the touch ups, without stress, but now we could see his navigation charts for the moon and adopt similar patterns for ourselves.
Go for it. All of it. Your passions and drive will excite you and if you don’t make it to that goal checkpoint on that first nitro boost - pause, look around, and yell out, “Holy Shit!! Look how far I made it !”
Put the Dream back in drive and carry on.
Good Morning. Greater Day. Greater You - aiming for the Moon. AYD -Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day
"We should give as we receive, cheerfully, quickly, and without hesitation; for there is no grace in a benefit th...at sticks to the fingers." - Seneca
We cannot hold back sharing the best of who we are. How else can we expect good acts and thoughts to grow? We must lead by example and recognize all that is worth sharing about who we are, whom our friends and family feel we are, whom our coworkers appreciate about who we are.
It gives a little more depth to the idea of "Be Yourself".
It is one more chapter in my growing and shaping philosophy, "What we do with what we are given." ( Alot more to come on this very soon.)
So today and this weekend - Be comfortable in your qualities - and in that comfort, Be Yourself, so that others can feel your influence. You will silently be giving a lesson on how others can 'give more' of themselves ... with no effort, and yet great benefit.
Good morning, Greater day. More discovery of a healthier you. AYD - Pierre Couturier - Husband, Daddy and Author to my day.
"The task of a leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been." - Henry Kissinger
And on a Sports Saturday I think of our son's basketball coach and the great job he is doing - with our boy, and the whole team. I see they are learning, and listening and respecting as their skills grow with their smiles and effort.
And then my thoughts are drawn to our son’s other coaches from martial arts to summer sports. They too have been and are doing a fantastic job of bringing out the best in him – and all the kids working together.
And in that moment my awareness is heightened to all the leaders that affect our lives – even though it is not us they are leading, but those close to us.
Take a moment today to recognize and feel good about those leaders among us, and while we are at it, we may as well look inside ourselves and recognize moments where we are leading. Are we doing as good of a job?
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You – absorbing the leadership around you and the benefits it brings. AYD – Pierre Couturier – Husband, Daddy and Author to my Day
"What seems to us as bitter trials are often blessings in disguise." — Oscar Wilde
There are lessons and elements of growth in every experience we encounter. ( Often it is strength from the knowing you made it through.)
We must put more focus on how to recognize the growth element, and resist the urge we feel to bitch about the event.
If you are still standing after a fall, what value is there in crying about how badly it could have been or that you had to go through it at all? You are through it. Count those strengths instead of taking inventory on the events and rating each one for how bad you felt.
Just saying.
