See how their eyes sparkle, those that love you, when you are nearby or they are making you their center of attention.
Hear the joy in the voices of your friends when you enter the room.
Or be hypnotized in wonder as you gaze upon your children while they laugh, or play or sleep.
I offer you these few examples, so that you might stay for a spell in the moments of magic that you create.

In honor of a friend who has been a part of building a home for someone in need, and the joy he has found in being a big part of this experience it was fitting that this crossed my path today to share with you.

Helping others takes on a different picture for all of us for a wide range of definition. You may have seen an opportunity and stepped up to play a part, or you may not even be aware of something you are doing right now that is of assistance to keeping a dream in motion for someone.

What matters is that your heart is in the right place. Your intent is genuine. You are not seeking recognition other than the smile, or relief that shows in another's eyes as you have have made the journey a little easier.

Reflect on things you have done before - what you may be doing now - take a moment from your hectic schedule or personal frustrations to look around and see where you might lend a part of what is good in you, to someone who may need that little bit of help. You may find, like a friend of mine, that the help you give was also the help you needed to find for yourself.

Sometimes we hear things.
Others, we listen, hear, absorb, contemplate value, and apply.

 How can you take comments made to players on a sports team, and make them valuable to you - a daily player in a daily grind kind of game? Worth a thought.

Awaken Your Day - Feb 16, 2017 - Coming Soon...

"Amazing Work - Coming Soon"

Inspiration will find you anywhere.
And, when it finds us, we need to remember that location ... because that may be a memory go to when we find ourselves struggling.


I picked our son up at school this week. And I found myself looking at the walls of all the projects the children are doing. The pictures, the colored displays, the pride they take in putting their work up for all to see and share. I missed school right then and there, for all the reasons we miss so much of as we get older...and busier. My mind looked for memories, while my heart remembered the feelings that made school something to miss. Take a moment, I think you will remember too.


And then I focussed on the wall where you can clearly see it is used for multiple displays of the work that class does through the year. 6 squares wide, 3 high. Different colors. All the boxes said, "Amazing Work - Coming Soon" . And I was excited.. I wanted to see the work they do. I wanted to be inspired and to smile for the joy of seeing it, and the joy of knowing the work they put in to make it their own. I wanted to see creativity. Like I enjoy any day it finds me.


And then the magic that is AYD came to me again. I parallelled that feeling to my day ... to my projects ... to my goals and dreams and efforts. Amazing Work - coming soon. Inspiration found me. At a magical place that our son spends so much time in. And not only do i need those words for me, but I get to take that thought, and bring it home for him as well. Magical thoughts to share ... exciting things to anticipate and work toward. Excited for what comes next.
