- Timothy Leary
Sounds really familiar right? A lot like ' Be the change you want to see in others.' Ya, but this is a bit more personal... a little right there in your face specific example. A bit more obvious .. that we often don't catch on to.
For example - a common complaint by folks is "Nobody listens to me." Valid or not - it is an opportunity for us to ask ourselves if we give as good as we get. Have we taken that step back in order to step forward and be more into the moments of conversation, or meetings etc. What are our own patterns for listening, and being engaged?
Do we demonstrate that we are involved or do you we give the optical impression that we are distracted, or focussed on something else? This does not require in depth analysis. Try today to go be aware as you enter communication zones.. and be conscious of your response techniques.
Trust me, you will know if you your intentional attention response today, is different from what you might have offered before.
To all of those I've wronged in this way - I am sorry. Now pay attention to me next time.
Good Morning, Greater Day. Greater You - responding like it matters so others know that the moment matters.
