Awaken Your Day - Sept 22 - Obstacles to your Adventure

"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal."
- Author unknown

Doubt.
Where does it come from?
When we tap into our passion, or when it taps us and gives us a grand view of this desire, this goal we want to reach for - how does doubt find it's way in.

For the sake of not writing a novel on the topic this morning, let me be general and just say Doubt has Many doors to walk thru to invade our vision, and many disguises as well.

But one of our best defences, one of our best secret weapons to "obstacles" is quite simply Awareness.

You are aware, that if you lose your Focus, and begin to consider the other paths that "doubters" may introduce you too - then you are taking your eye, your mind and your passion off of the goal that just moments before you may have been 100% sure of. When you take your eyes off of the outcome you desire, and consider all of the sad "what if's" you worry that your dream may not be achievable .. you are not looking at the desire to draw on that passion ...you are looking on more unknown "Oh No's".

You create or pick up an "obstacle" that is not part of your plan.
Consider this, you sat down to draw a map to your goal. You were realistic but also held your belief in plotting your route. There are parts of your map that have to take into account some detours and plan extentions...but all the while you know that "X" marks the spot.

You did not draw other obstacles. You did not draw a maze to get to your own goal. A maze of blocked corredors or paths that lead to nothing. You did not draw them, for you knew what line to follow.

"X" marks the spot. Stay on it, and do not lose your focus.
You are aware, that doubt creates obstacles. Without a doubt, you are left with only the map you drew.

Stay with the adventure, and you will see that it is much more rewarding.

Good Morning.

Pierre
